"Not Just for Pianists: A Panel Discussion"
Collaborative piano programs are springing up at schools across the country. These programs are designed to train pianists in collaborative work, but they also have a direct impact on many other constituents: partnering teachers and their students, as well as piano faculty, their students, and the spectrum of professional pianists who may already be working collaboratively at the school. This session will provide an opportunity to consider the benefits and the challenges of integrating a collaborative program into a college curriculum, and ways to shape a program to fit its school.
